The Belleville Police responded to 72 calls for service between June 23,2020 at 5 a.m. and June 24, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Arrest on Warrant
On June 23, 2020 at 8:50 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a male walking on College St. E. The officer recognized the male and had information that the male was wanted for breaching his probation. Bradley Jeffries, a 36-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and held for a bail hearing on June 24, 2020.
Break and Enter
On June 23, 2020 at 4:46 p.m., police attended a business on Dundas St. E. The owner was making a complaint of a break and enter into the premises. Once entry was gained an unknown suspect(s) removed the cash drawer with a small quantity of money in it. The business had been closed a number of weeks.
