Underwater infrastructure work in Quinte West is going to have an impact on parking at a Trenton park starting Monday.
Mayor Jim Harrison says work is continuing on the multi-million dollar waste water treatment line which will cross the floor of the Trent River, which means the south portion of the lot beside Fraser Park will be closed from Monday, until the end of October.
The pipe will connect to the new wastewater treatment plant on the east side of Centennial Park and the increased capacity will allow for more residential and commercial development in the west side of the city.
In-water work will begin on the East Side of the river on July 1, with boaters asked to follow buoy placement at that time, with City Staff saying the fueling and pump-out station will remain open.
