A retired police constable with the Port Hope Police Service faces sex-related charges after an alleged incident in the Town of Cobourg last Friday.
According to Northumberland News, Cobourg police charged 55-year-old Steven Douglas of Port Hope with sexual assault and committing an indecent act.
Douglas, who retired from the Port Hope Police Service last July, turned himself in and appears in court September 9.
Cobourg police are asking the public to call with them with any information.
