Eleven businesses will take part in Belleville’s Pop-Ups on the Bay this summer.
At its virtual meeting Monday, city council decided to enter into agreements with eleven businesses that will operate small shops along the bayshore in West Zwick’s Park.
Last year’s promotion was ruined by high water levels and the two pop-ups were moved to Riverside Park along the Moira River.
Manager of Economic and Strategic Initiatives Karen Poste told council, “We are working closely with the health unit and revised the site plan. There will be staffing in place to ensure all required COVID-19 protocols are in place. So we are confident it can go ahead safely.”
The businesses signing up for this summer are: Royal Haveli Indian Food, Durette’s Chalk Design and Durette’s Photography, Nadine O’Hearn-MacNeil and clothing and accessories, A specialty hotdog cart, Golden Scoop, a coffee and beverage shop, Smokin Rednex Southern BBQ Food Truck, Artisan Collective Market, a food truck, Venture Outfitters and Brick Oven Pizza Truck.
The pop-ups will operate from June 18 until September 7.
