It’s possible the COVID-19 coronavirus could ruin another time-honoured tradition.
At its meeting Monday afternoon Belleville city council will be asked to ban the sale and use of fireworks from now
until the province lifts the restrictions on gatherings and physical distancing put in place to slow the spread of the virus.
In a report city staff note that fireworks tend to draw a crowd, whether big or small.
