Effective April 21, 2020
As a result of the impact of Covid-19 and the current business restrictions Volunteer and Information Quinte has made some very difficult decisions regarding our upcoming fundraisers and National Volunteer Appreciation Week Celebrations.
Dancing with the Stars Quinte that was scheduled for May 29th, 2020 is postponed until further notice. We are working with our partners, dancers, coaches to re-schedule this event pending future event restrictions.
Our new 1km Lager Jogger that was scheduled for April 25th, 2020 is postponed with plans to re-schedule as long as the current event restrictions are lifted and Hops on the Water in Quinte West is able to re-schedule.
Our 20th annual Ladies Golf & Spa day schedule for July 9th, 2020 at Roundel Glen Golf Course will be cancelled. It is our hope that we will be able to celebrate our 20th anniversary in July 2021.
National Volunteer Appreciation Week celebrations including our Celebration breakfast, our volunteer muggings the week of April 20-26, 2020 is being postponed until further notice. As a result of the delay, we will continue to accept nominations for our Volunteer awards till June 30, 2020 and once the restrictions are lifted we will reschedule our breakfast and celebrations as the community will have a lot to celebrate as we pulled together to fight and support each other through COVID 19.
We recognize these are challenging times for our community and we need to focus on providing the most current social and human service records for our partners at 211 Ontario and the United Way HPE, as well as keep working with the essential services to recruit and refer volunteers.
