The Belleville Police Service has created a new email for you to report traffic tips and suggestions to officers.
The new email traffic@police.belleville.on.ca can be used for residents to pass along non-urgent traffic-related complaints, like drivers not obeying speed limits in their neighbourhood.
Chief Ron Gignac says the portal will allow residents to make those reports anonymously and without putting immediate and undue stress on traffic unit officers, or even city councillors and staff, who routinely field those types of calls as well.
But Gignac says, if there is an issue like a dangerous or drunk driver, or something that has an immediate impact on public safety, you should call 911.
