A post-mortem is being conducted in Kingston on a body found in the Trent-Severn Waterway near Campbellford on the weekend.
Police were called around 10:30 this past Saturday morning to a spot between Lock 9 and Lock 10, where the unidentified woman’s body was found.
The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and Central Region Forensics Team are investigating and police say more information will be released as it becomes available.
Investigators say, at this point, the death is not considered suspicious.
