On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, officers of the Cobourg Police Service observed a male, known to be wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant, in Cobourg’s downtown core.
The male fled from police but was arrested a short distance later after assaulting officers.
A search occurred, incident to arrest, and officers located cash, a pill press and a large quantity of drugs on his person.
The approximate street value was $10,000.
Forty-year-old Daniel Hulme of Oshawa was arrested and charged with the following offences:
1. Assault with intent to resist arrest
2. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking-Cocaine
3. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking -Fentanyl
4. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking –Methamphetamine
5. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking -Hydromorphone
6. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance–Methamphetamine
7. Possession of anything for use in, production of/trafficking in Schedule I or Schedule III substance
8. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under
Hulme is being held for a bail hearing later today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg. After his charges are heard Hulme will be held in custody in relation to the Canada Wide Warrant.
