OPP say a 21 year-old woman from north of Barrie is the victim of a fatal crash in Tweed yesterday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, just west of Highway 37 around 10:30 a.m., where a car and a pickup truck had been involved in a head-on crash.
Investigators say the driver of the car, Kendyl Hill of Oro-Medonte was pronounced dead in hospital, after being air lifted there by Ornge Air Ambulance.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital by Hastings-Quinte EMS but there’s been no update on their condition.
The road was closed into the evening as police investigated and has since reopened, but OPP say they are still looking into what happened.
