OPP officers in large numbers moved on to CN VIA Rail tracks shortly after 8 o’clock this morning and began arresting Tyendinaga Mohawk protesters and their supporters.
The protesters had set up camp right next to the tracks and have blocked train traffic for over 2 weeks on the country’s busiest rail corridor.
There has been lots of yelling at the scene but there have been no reports of violence to this point.
Several dozen OPP officers are standing along one side of the tracks with protesters on the other side.
More detail when it becomes available.
