Quinte West firefighters were called to a house fire in Frankford at the noon hour on Thursday.
Reports to our newsroom say a garage was on fire at 50 Stonegate Cresent in the village.
Firefighters from Station 7 were called to the scene along with Station 5 crews for additional manpower.
Station 6 was called at 1 p.m. to the scene as two homes were reportedly ablaze and there was concern a third home would start to burn as well.
Upon arrival, Fire Chief John Whelan says the first home was fully involved and the two adjacent homes sustained heavy vinyl damage and some broken windows.
The fire was declared under control shortly after 2 p.m. but firefighters were keeping a safe distance from the blaze says Whelan.
Whelan says there were no injuries, but firefighters were able to save a large dog from one of the homes.
The road has been closed by police.
A cause has not yet been determined.
Stonegate Cresent is part of a new subdivision east of the Trent River.
