The Member of Parliament for the Bay of Quinte riding has been named a Parliamentary Secretary.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau named Neil Ellis as the Parliamentary Secretary to Marie-Claude Bibeau, the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
Ellis says he is very humbled to follow in the footsteps of former Agriculture Minister and Prince Edward County resident Lyle Vanclief.
He says it gives him a chance to stay grounded in the issues that will not only affect the Bay of Quinte riding, but also the entire country.
His role will include work with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Farm Credit Canada, the Canada Grain Commission, the Canadian Dairy Commission, and the National Farm Products Council.
