The Transportation Safety Board of Canada says seven people died in a small plane crash last evening.
The plane was heading from the Toronto area to the airport in Kingston when it crashed in a wooded area a few kilometres from landing.
The plane was a six-seater with one pilot.
The TSB is looking at if weather was a possible factor in the crash.
A team of four investigators has begun a probe that could take days to complete.

Update @ 12:20 p.m. (November 28, 2019): Two Kingston media outlets are reporting that seven people, including two minors, were killed in a small plane crash in Kingston on Wednesday night.
Both the Kingston Whig Standard and CKWS TV are reporting that information, but a Kingston Police Spokesperson could not confirm those details to Quinte News.

The board says the plane was heading from the Toronto area to Kingston’s airport when it crashed Wednesday at 5 p.m. in a wooded area about seven kilometres from its destination.
TSB spokesman Chris Krepski says four investigators are on scene, examining and documenting the wreckage.

Shortly before 11 p.m., Kingston Police confirmed via Twitter there were numerous fatalities following a plane crash in the city Wednesday night.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. and Kingston Fire and Rescue, Frontenac Paramedics, Kingston Police and CFB Trenton’s Joint Rescue Coordination Centre were called to help locate the downed aircraft.
The plane was eventually located around 10 p.m. in the area of Creekford Road and Bayside Drive in Kingston, in the Cataraqui Westbrook area, south of the 401.
The Transportation Safety Board confirmed a Piper PA-32 crashed in the city’s northwest.
The plane is capable of carrying five to six people.
It is unknown how many people were on board, where the plane took off, or where it was headed.
CBC states investigators will travel to the crash site Thursday.
