The Bayside She-Devils captured a pair of gold medals on Thursday at AAA COSSA girls’ rugby at Mary Ann Sills.
The players showed amazing grit and determination in the frigid temperatures.
The juniors defeated TAS 24-0 in the semi-final with tries from Julia Peck (2), Abby Aikman, and Abby Reed.
Reed added 2 converts in the win.
The seniors defeated TAS 22-10 with tries from Amy Dirks, Kaylee Hilts, Sophia Barnes, and Brianna Scott. Mckenna Taylor added a convert in the win.
The juniors beat IEW 7-5 in the championship game with a try from Julia Peck and a convert from Abby Reed. The seniors had tries from Amy Dirks and Brianna Scott and a convert from Mckenna Taylor in their 12-10 win over IE Weldon.
The seniors girls will move onto OFSAA in the spring and the junior girls will compete at the Barbarian Cup.
