The genealogical research centre based in Prince Edward County has announced that it is now affiliated with a world-wide organization based in the United States.
The Seventh Town Historical Society, operators of the Marilyn Adams Genealogical Research Centre in Ameliasburg, has announced it is now affiliated with Family/Search.
This is a website sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The web service has more than six billion searchable names and two billion images.
It means access to 5,000 family centres in 129 countries.
This service can only be reached through a research centre such as the one in Ameliasburgh.

The Marilyn Adams Genealogical Research Centre, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, is open Tuesday and Wednesday; other days by appointment.
