The value of construction activity in Prince Edward County is running ahead of last year’s figures.
The total construction this year to the end of September is $88.5 million, $15.8 million ahead of last year for the same period.
The month of July saw the highest at $16.4 million.
Deputy Chief Building Official Andy Harrison tells Quinte News the figures are for residential not commercial or industrial.
The September figures show five farm buildings at a total of $800,000, ten new houses at $4.2 million, and one secondary suite at $100,000.
Permit fees so far have brought $598.8 million to the County.
