Conversations about mental health will be paired with local food and entertainment on Sunday.
The second annual Food for Thought festival is being held between noon and 4:00 p.m. at Belleville’s Market Square promoting the need for more discussion about mental health supports and services, and coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day.
Organizer Ruth Estwick tells Quinte News the family friendly event hopes to foster discussion about tough issues, around a common love of food.
Estwick says food and conversation are a perfect combo to spread awareness about the need for mental health supports.
Estwick adds that if you can’t make the event, but still want to make a donation or buy a Food for Thought t-shirt, you can get in touch with them by emailing fftboq@gmail.com.
