Personnel and aircraft from CFB Trenton are helping in the search for a missing plane and its pilot in Quebec.
The Cessna 172 left Mirabel on Wednesday evening and disappeared from radar about 37 kilometres northwest of Sherbrooke, which was its intended destination.
Around 1:00 this morning the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre dispatched a CC-130H Hercules and a CH-146 Griffon helicopter from 424 Squadron in Trenton, along with another Griffon from 439 Squadron at 3 Wing Bagotville.
Quebec provincial police and civilian search and rescue personnel are also helping to look for the missing plane, since they have in depth knowledge about the region and its landscape.
