It’s only good fortune that there wasn’t a very serious collision on Highway 401 near Napanee last Friday night.
Lennox and Addington OPP received several frantic 911 calls after people noticed someone driving a vehicle the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of the 401 around 9 o’clock.
Luckily OPP officers were able to stop the vehicle shortly after the calls came in.
The 84-year-old driver of the wrong way vehicle was charged with stunt driving. The driver was from the Niagara Falls area.
