Lennox and Addington OPP are asking for the public’s help in an assault investigation.
Police report on Wednesday night around 10:30 p.m., a southbound vehicle on Highway 49 overtook a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle followed the vehicle into Deseronto.
At the intersection of Pearl and Thomas streets, a 28-year-old male passenger exited the vehicle and approached the motorcyclist, say police. The motorcyclist assaulted the victim with what is believed to be a knife.
The victim was taken to hospital and underwent surgery.
The motorcyclist is described as a man, small in stature and approximately 5’5″ tall, dressed in all black with a black full face motorcycle helmet and he may have been carrying a Champion brand backpack.
The motorcycle is described as being in the 125-250 cc range, silver in colour with round lights and mirrors.
