It is now official.
The Municipality of Brighton has joined forces with the City of Quinte West and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation as a partner in their Physician Recruitment and Retention program.
Mayors Jim Harrison and Brian Ostrander signed the agreement at the Brighton Health Services Centre this morning (Friday).
Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison said this agreement is for the betterment of the residents they (the mayors) both represent and by working collaboratively they will see many positive outcomes for both communities.
Brighton Mayor Brian Ostrander said this new partnership is very timely for Brighton and he looks forward to working closely together to attract health care providers to the community.
The Quinte West Physician Recruitment Committee also announced they have rebranded as Docs by the Bay, complete with a new logo and a new website to soon follow.
Physician Recruitment and Retention coordinator Paula Mason says the rebranding would be eye-catching to students and doctors looking for the type of lifestyle that is abundant in our communities.
