Impaired Driver
Belleville Police laid an impaired driving charge early Thursday morning.
Around 1 a.m. yesterday, police were called to the downtown area regarding a possible motor vehicle collision involving an SUV and a Bicycle.
However, when officers arrived, no one involved in the incident was on scene.
Officers did locate the SUV that was allegedly involved a few minutes later.
The 20-year-old driver from Corbyville failed a roadside screening and was charged.
August 15th MVCs
Charges laid in three motor vehicle collisions in Belleville on Wednesday.
Police responded to a collision on Grove Street around noon and charged one of the drivers with careless driving.
Another collision occurred around 1:30 on Moira Street East resulting in some minor injuries.
One driver was charged for failing to stop at a red light.
And there were minor injuries in a collision on Geddes Street just after 4 p.m.
One driver was charged with careless driving.
