A partial burn ban has been put in place in Prince Edward County.
Fire Chief Scott Manlow says the ban was put in place because of high winds and dry conditions.
Under a partial ban, burning is restricted to a container with a screened top or a small campfire.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue reminds residents that a burning permit is required for all open air burning.
When conditions improve, the ban will be updated.
