Driver abandons wrecked car

An investigation continues near the CP rail tracks in Belleville’s west end this morning (Thursday).

Around 3 o’clock this morning, firefighters, EMS paramedics and police responded after reports that
a car had slammed into a utility pole on Avonlough Road, near Dundas Street West.

The pole, which was owned by CP Rail, was snapped in half and wires were down across the car.

There was no driver or anyone else around when emergency responders arrived.
