A Trenton man who found himself the victim of a stabbing earlier this month says he is on the path to recovery.
Dustin Weese was one of two people stabbed on July 12 on Front Street in Quinte West.
He was transported to Kingston General Hospital suffering severe injuries from three stab wounds, where he is now beginning the long and painful recovery process.
Quinte West OPP arrested and charged 24-year-old Joey Hagan with two counts of attempted murder and one court break and enter.
According to Weese, Hagan originally threatened his fiancée Katelynd Morin, who is 31 weeks pregnant, and Weese stepped between them.
Following the incident, Hagan was found a short distance away from their home, and the site of the stabbing, which is making both Weese and Morin fearful to return to their home.
Weese told Quinte News his family no longer feels safe following the incident.
