A woman was lucky to escape without serious injuries after leaping out a second storey window from an east-end residence Saturday night.
Police arrived around 10 p.m. The police investigation indicated the woman was attending the building and got into a dispute with the occupants.
She attempted to make her getaway by leaping from the second storey window onto an awning below. She fell straight through the awning to the ground below. She was seen leaving the scene in a vehicle but officers found the woman a short time later.
Police confirmed that the woman did not suffer any injuries in the fall and ensured that she was safe for the remainder of the evening.
