Repair work on Belleville’s downtown area is nearing an end.
Corcoran Construction workers are making repairs to some of the Build Belleville work undertaken in the past few years on the city centre.
Director of Engineering and interim CAO Rod Bovay tells Quinte News this is “warranty work” and is not unusual.
Bovay says there are some areas with cracks in the concrete.
He says, “They’ve been working downtown for a couple of months now cleaning up deficiencies through all four phases (of Build Belleville) that were done.”
There is still more work to be done, including around Market Square and McAnnany Street.
Bovay expects the work to wrap up in a couple of weeks.
The Build Belleville project in the city centre was completed in 2018.
