A 29 year-old Lennox and Addington County woman was killed in the multi-vehicle crash that occurred in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 Friday afternoon in the Tydendinaga Township, according to Lennox and Addington OPP.
The woman’s name has not been release. Three other people sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
A total of seven vehicles, including one transport truck, were involved in the collision.
The investigation is on-going and no decision about any potential charges will be made until the examination of all the evidence is completed.
No further information will be available for release this weekend.
The roadway remained fully closed into the night.
One lane opened around 2 a.m., and the second lane was opened to traffic at around 6:00 a.m. Saturday.
