There’s some good news for those people hoping to beat the summer heat this weekend at area beaches.
Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health says all local beaches are open and safe for swimming.
The health unit collects and analyses water samples for the presence of E. Coli bacteria which is unsafe for swimming and can cause other illnesses.
