The fight against a proposed Bancroft area quarry takes another step at an appeal hearing later this month.
The residents’ group, No Place for a Quarry, that appeared at Hastings County council last week, had already launched an appeal against the township that would host the quarry.
That appeal is against the township’s rezoning by-law.
Spokesperson Madeleine Marentette tells Quinte News they are trying to fight it on every level.
Ontario’s Local Planning Advisory Tribunal will hold a hearing about that issue in Faraday Township on July 17.
Meanwhile, Marentette says they are still awaiting their lawyer’s advice regarding the Hastings County’s Official Plan amendment to allow the quarry, which passed last week.
