Four properties in Prince Edward County have received municipal heritage designations under the Ontario Heritage Act.
The designations are a way to acknowledge a property’s heritage value to the community and means that the owners receive a special plaque to display.
It also changes some zoning and development rules around those properties.
All four properties including Vance-Connors House on Paul Street, Cermak Farm Complex in Milford, Walmsley-Ayer/Scully Farm Complex near East Lake and Empringham House in South Marysburgh, were founded or built in the mid-to-late 1800s.
