The two-year-old child that was rushed to hospital yesterday is in stable condition according to Belleville Police.
In an update this morning, police say the girl is in the Intensive Care Unit at Kingston General.
The investigation involving the Criminal Investigations Branch and Forensic Identification Section is ongoing.
Emergency services was called to the east end Pine Street home shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday for an unresponsive two-year-old.
She received care on scene from paramedics before being rushed to Belleville General Hospital. She was later transferred to Kingston.
