There will be a temporary leadership change atop both Northumberland County and Alnwick/Haldimand Township councils.
Township Mayor and County Warden John Logel will be taking a leave of absence to deal with a personal matter.
Deputy Mayor Gail Latchford will take on the role of chair of Alnwick/Haldimand Council and will represent the municipality at county council, while Port Hope Mayor Bob Sanderson will become the Acting Northumberland County Warden.
Sanderson is the longest serving member on county council.
