A Napanee area man has avoided jail after pleading guilty to weapons and mischief charges after an incident in Marlbank in the Municipality of Tweed in April of last year.
Central Hastings OPP were called to a residence after reports that shots were being fired at a vehicle parked in the driveway.
The homeowners were inside and no one was injured but there was property damage.
Loyalist Township man, 33-year-old James Morey, was recently handed a six month conditional sentence, 12 months probation and given a 10 year weapons prohibition.
He pleaded guilty to dangerous use of a weapon, careless storage of a firearm, and mischief under and over $5,000.
