It was a false alarm for search and rescue crews over Lake Ontario Wednesday night.
OPP, paramedics and Napanee firefighters were called to the water near bath, just after 8:10 p.m., to a report of an object floating in the water.
A concerned citizen thought they had seen a body in the lake, off Highway 33 west of County Road 4 and a helicopter from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton was called in, while other emergency personnel searched the shoreline.
Following that search, it was determined that the object scene was a log floating in the water and to this point, no missing persons reports have been filed.
