The Ontario Hockey League held its annual Midget Priority Draft on Saturday with a trio of Quinte Red Devil Minor Midgets being selected.
The Oshawa Generals drafted centre Daniel Michaud of Belleville in the second round, 23rd overall. Michaud scored 21 goals and 20 assists in 36 games for Quinte. In a scouting report Michaud is described as “a skilled centre that leads his team on a nightly basis. He is a presence on the ice and is always involved in the play”.
The Erie Otters drafted centre Benjamin White of Napanee in the 7th round. 5 picks later the North Bay Battalion drafted Red Devils defenceman Erik MacNeil of Cobourg.
