The Belleville Senators are home to the Syracuse Crunch tonight in what could be an AHL playoff preview.
A week ago the B-Sens had a 6 point hold on fourth place in the North Division but losses in Providence and Bridgeport coupled with 3 wins by Cleveland leave the Sens tied with the Monsters for the last playoff spot. Cleveland has a game in hand.
Belleville has 8 games left with six at home.
The Sens won’t have rugged right winger Darren Archibald for the next two games. The AHL has suspended Archibald for a cross checking incident last Friday in Providence.
Syracuse has already clinched a playoff berth but is battling Rochester for top seed in the division.
It’s the B-Sens only home game this week. They travel to Hartford for the weekend.
The puck drops at 7:05. CJBQ’s coverage for Eastern Overhead Doors and Deerhaven Farm and Garden begins at 6:50.
