The Wellington Dukes have opened the second round of the OJHL playoffs by taking home ice advantage away from the Whitby Fury.
Andrew Rinaldi scored his fifth of the playoffs at 12:25 of the first period and that’s all Wellington would need as they shutout the Fury 4-0 at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby. Rinaldi would score again and add an assist and has 11 points in six playoff games. Dawson Ellis and Frank Vitucci netting the others. Quinn Hanna had two assists. Logan Bateman turned away 26 shots for his first post season shutout.
Game 2 is tomorrow night at 7 at the Lehigh Arena in Wellington.
