Local hockey playoffs continue on many levels.
The Wellington Dukes, coming off their five game rout of the first place Cobourg Cougars will play the Whitby Fury in round two of the OJHL post season. Whitby eliminated the Trenton Golden Hawks in six games. The Fury hold home ice advantage after finishing 5 points ahead of Wellington in the regular season.
Dates for that series should be announced today.
The Napanee Raiders will play the Uxbridge Bruins in the Provincial Junior “C” Hockey League Eastern Conference final.
Napanee is coming off back to back sweeps of Port Hope and the Picton Pirates. No dates announced yet.
The Quinte West Bantam “A” Hawks open their 6 point OMHA championship series on Saturday in Fergus then host game 2 at the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens Sunday at 5.
