The NHL trade deadline meant a lot of changes for the Belleville and Ottawa Senators.
The Senators sent star forward Mark Stone to the Vegas Golden Knights, along with Belleville Senator Tobias Lindberg. In exchange, they picked up for D-man Erik Brannstrom, Oscar Lindberg, and a 2nd round pick in 2020.
GM Pierre Dorion says fans will love what Brannstrom brings to the ice.
Brannstrom will report to Belleville.
Dorion says he is asking the veterans to lead, while investing in the young players.
Also this week Patrick Sieloff was traded to Anaheim. Coming to Ottawa in exchange for the B-Sens’ D-man is Brian Gibbons.
In the Matt Duchene deal, which also sent Belleville’s Julius Bergman to Columbus, the Sens grabbed
Vitaly Abramov, who played Saturday in Rochester. Jonathan Davidsson also comes to Ottawa.
In the Ryan Dzingel deal, Anthony Duclair and two picks came back to Ottawa.
