Kingston Police along with the Napanee Community Street Crime Unit of the OPP and Durham Regional Police have made an arrest following a months long fentanyl trafficking investigation.
Police say a 29-year-old man from Bowmanville and a 27-year-old woman from Oshawa were arrested on Tuesday. Both are facing possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The woman is also facing trafficking fentanyl and six firearm-related charges.
The man is facing an additional charge of breach of recognizance.
Officers say during the course of their investigation over 625 grams of fentanyl was seized along with a Smith and Wesson revolver and ammunition, cash, a scale and cell phones.
The estimated street value of the drugs is $112,000.
