Six people have been arrested after police, including those in the Quinte Region, dismantled a drug trafficking ring.
Officers from Quinte West OPP, Belleville and Toronto police, focused their investigation on a cocaine trafficking network around Quinte West and the GTA, dating back to the fall of 2018.
The four-month Project UMA ended with raids on five properties in those areas with police seizing drugs and a vehicle.
Thirty-five-year-old Diana Swartzman and 42-year-old Wayne Smith of Toronto are charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
Fifty-seven-year-old Craig James Ross, 35-year-old Trevor Ross and 56-year-old Lorena Ross of Quinte West are charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Thirty-one-year-old Ryan Dean of Quinte West is charged with:
- Possession Schedule I substance- Cocaine
