Quinte Blades competitors earned 10 medals in speed skating at the Special Olympic Provincial Winter Games in Sault Ste. Marie.
Kai Freeland won gold in the 333 metre, silver in the 500 and bronze in the 777 and 1000.
Nicole Ferguson won gold in the 777 metre race, and silvers in the 500 and 333 metres.
Adam James earned gold in the 500, silver in the 777 and bronze in the 1500 metre. James also finished fourth in the 1000.
Freeland, Ferguson and James now wait for the Ontario team to be announced in preparation for the Special Olympic National Winter Games next February in Thunder Bay.
