A new exhibition has opened at the National Air Force Museum of Canada.
The Space to Spoon exhibit is on loan from the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum and the Canadian Space Agency.
Space to Spoon demonstrates how space technology benefits Canadian farmers and sustainable agriculture.
It’s a hands-on experience with interactive elements that encourages informal science learning among those of all ages.
It also highlights the Canadian Space Agency’s Earth observation satellite, RADARSAT-2, and its cutting-edge successor, RADARSAT Constellation.
Christina Tessier, President and CEO of Ingenium – Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation says this exhibit was developed in partnership with the Canadian Space Agency, this travelling exhibition will showcase space technology and big data – which are unseen by most – in communities across Canada. Visitors to the exhibit from coast to coast to coast will learn how the application of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM subjects) can enhance sustainable agriculture.
