The Ontario Junior Hockey League is in the home stretch with plenty still on the line.
The Trenton Golden Hawks clobbered the Lindsay Muskies 8-1 to remain one point behind second place Whitby in the East Division with 9 games to go.
Peter Falivena scored 3 with Samuel Duchesne adding two goals and an assist as Trenton outshot Lindsay 47-24. Jeff Lindsay, Andy Baker and Tyler Ignazzitto also scored. Dylan McMahon and Griffin Fox had 3 assists.
That sets up a big game Friday when the G-Hawks host the Fury at the Dunc.
Whitby maintained their lead with a 5-1 victory over the visiting Wellington Dukes. Tyson Gilmour’s 18th of the year was the lone goal for Wellington. That was the Dukes first regulation loss in ten games dating back to December 19th.
Tonight the Dukes are in Cobourg to take on the first place Cougars.
In Junior “C” play the Amherstview Jets scored the first goal but the Napanee Raiders got the next 6. 6-1 was the final. Cameron Harris with a pair and Jacob Gilbert and Justynn Steven added a goal and assist each.
