Snow squall warning in effect for:
- Picton – Sandbanks Park
Snow squalls likely this evening and tonight.
A snow squall continues to affect Lake Ontario. As of mid afternoon, the most intense portion of this squall remains over the lake, but is expected to shift north to affect portions of Prince Edward county this evening and tonight.
Snowfall accumulations in excess of 15 cm will be possible by Saturday morning.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
Snow squall warnings are issued when bands of snow form that produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
