The Wellington Dukes continue to be hot at the right time of the year.
Keenan Eddy scored at 15:59 of the third period and it proved to be the winner as Wellington gets by the Voyageurs 4-3 in Kingston.
Dawson Ellis, Tim Fallowfield and Frank Vitucci also scored for the Dukes while Logan Bateman stopped 31 shots.
Wellington is 7-0-1 in their last 8 and move into a third place tie with Trenton in the OJHL’s East Division. The Golden Hawks have 3 games in hand.
Tonight Wellington hosts Oakville at the Lehigh Arena while Trenton is home to Cobourg at the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens . Both games are at 7:30.
In Junior “C” play in Picton, Will Harrison scored the first and last goal of the night at 11:22 of the first period as the Pirates shut down the first place Napanee Raiders 1-0. Kyle Renaud with a 34 save shutout.
Napanee hosts the Amherstview Jets tonight at 7:30.
