Quinte Health Care is benefitting from provincial investments in local hospitals.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington MPP Daryl Kramp announced today QHC will be receiving $666,332 as part of the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
Funds can be used to upgrade an HVAC system and sidewalk repairs at North Hastings Hospital and small structural repairs and upgrades needed in the pharmacy area at Belleville General Hospital.
Lennox and Addington County General Hospital will receive $703,566.
Kramp says they must make the necessary investments in hospitals now to ensure providers have the facilities they need to continue to provide excellent quality care to patients.
The province is investing $175 million in repairs and upgrades to 128 hospitals this year.
The government has invested an additional $90 million for 1,100 beds and spaces in hospitals including the creation of over 640 new beds.
