A Belleville woman has been charged following multiple break-ins at seniors’ homes.
Angela Dawn Hannah, 43, is charged with four counts of break and enter and breach of probation following incidents in Ottawa where she posed as a health care worker to gain access to peoples’ homes.
According to CTV Ottawa, Hannah was caught on camera by a couple who recognized her from an unusual encounter in their apartment last March when they found her in their home, holding a pill bottle and claiming she was looking for someone named Phyllis.
Hannah appeared in court today.
She was charged last January for break and enter in Whitby following her arrest by Durham Police three years ago.
Hannah was sentenced to community service and three years probation.
The incident is a good reminder to be careful when letting people into a secure building.
